Night

A full moon in the sky tonight
The wind is blowing strong,
The gusts, they hiss right through our skin
We pray that we'll see dawn.

The passersby don't even hear
The pain that's in my voice,
Look down on us, eyes full of shame
As if this was our choice.

Ignore the problem, pass right by
Ignore the glaring truth,
You cannot look, for then you'd see
I'm no different from you.

Millions surviving on these streets
And still no hope for me,
How can you help any of us
If you refuse to see?

You turn a deaf ear to our calls
A blind eye to our plight,
If no one sees, if no one helps
How can we win this fight?
